Hilton Seychelles Labriz resort & Spa  5*

With mountainous peaks and primeval forests, Silhouette Island is a must for all nature lovers. It is said to be the most important biodiversity site in the Western Indian Ocean an is completely dedicated to environmental protection. Due to its mountainous nature, development has been near impossible ensuring this frail eco system for the most part has remained undisturbed.

Silhouette was first discovered in 1609 and was named after the French Minister of Finance, Etienne de Silhouette. The island plays host to many graves believed to belong to Arab sailors and is said to be the site of the famous 'pirate-come-businessman' Jean-Francois Hodoul's buried treasure acquired in 1797 after he captured and plundered 7 British ships.

Today Silhouette boast a magnificent 5* property - Labriz.

Hilton Labriz, Silhouette Island, Seychelles - 5 Star resort & Spa on Silhouette Island Seychelles

Little has changed on Silhouette Island in the past 100 years and with just 130 inhabitants this is the perfect island to get away from it all.  Many indigenous plants can be found in the mountainous terrain which is favoured by hikers and the abundance of coral reefs makes this a diving and snorkelling paradise.  An original settlers village can be found at Grande Barbe.
